Information we collect
When you contact us through the website, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, area of interest and the details you include in your enquiry. Our hosting and security services may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of access, and request logs.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in the enquiry form unless it is necessary.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and communicate with you;
- understand the service or development in which you are interested;
- take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- manage our business records and follow up relevant enquiries; and
- protect, maintain and troubleshoot our website and systems.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating our business and keeping the website secure. Where the law requires it, we will rely on another appropriate lawful basis.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing communications.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where necessary with relevant members of the Cooper Lennard team and trusted service providers that support our website, email and IT systems, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft email services. These providers process information under their own security and contractual safeguards.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or in connection with the sale or restructuring of the business. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and retention
Website enquiries are delivered to our business email systems. We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, any resulting project or business relationship, and our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations. The appropriate period depends on the nature of your enquiry and whether you become a client, customer, landowner, investor or business partner.
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate safeguard recognised by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; and receive a portable copy. You can make a request by emailing info@cl-homes.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
